Safety and Reliability Analyses

The complexity of technical systems today frequently requires a comprehensive system analysis of the safety relevant aspects.

As your partner in the field of safety and reliability analysis, we can support you in the analysis of your systems and evaluate your safety and reliability goals. For different technical systems and plants, and for each individual application scenario, we apply a customized concept. To match your requests and concept changes, we integrate you as much as possible into the project development.

Error and Event Tree Analysis

For the presentation of a complex technical flow of events, we use an analytical and simulative tool for error and event tree analysis. We implement this tool, which we helped to develop, in many different fields, from nuclear technology to automotive industry.

Human reliability analysis (HRA)

To derive a plan of action for improving the human reliability at work, in particular in the switch rooms of complex technical systems, like power plants, it is necessary to analyse and evaluate the rate of human error. With our years of experience and with the prognosis tool HRA (current version: HRA-3G), which we developed for this purpose, we support our customers in the field of power plant analysis. We also use this tool in our joint projects.

Statistical analyses

Some technical phenomena are only quantifiable and evaluable after a detailed statistical analysis. In particular in the context of reliability analyses, the failure rate or failure probability is required. We provide statistical data analyses. For this we focus, for example, on the Two-Stage-Bayes to combine different sources according to the Bayes principle.

We used statistical analyses, e.g. for the improvement of maintenance strategies and for the inspection optimisation of back-up safety systems.
